2/14/10 Brittany (formerly Lexie) is doing great. An update from her foster dad says that she is sleeping in the bed at night with his other dog and is doing fine in a crate during the day when he has to work. She is in the crate for about 4 hrs. at a time.  She is also doing really well with her housetraining with hardly no accidents when he is attentive. She is a cute little bundle who just loves someone to cuddle with.  Brittany has also been introduced to a home with a cat and she doesn't mind the cat at all. She is settling in nicely and would do great in a home with children or adults that like to do outdoorsy things too. She is proving to be very adaptable under that quiet exterior.

2/1/10 Lexie got in from a long trip last night.  She is a small dog, only 16 lbs.   She is just beautiful, great markings and might be a Beagle mix.  She looks like she has Brittany in her face and with the tick marks (freckles), on her front legs.  She loves the other dogs and loves to play with them and us.  She is a typical Beagle type with her nose on the ground checking out all the smells.  She was crated last night for bedtime and cried for a few minutes, then settled down nicely for the rest of the night with no problems.  She is a young adult and will need obedience training and reinforcement so she knows what you want her to do in the house.
She has a lot of energy and will need some walks or running around in a yard to burn off some of that Beagle energy.  Lexi is going to the vet today for Microchipping and a check up.

WE hope to be getting Lexie into rescue from a South Carolina shelter soon
