Penny is a Shepherd/Husky mix born 2/09. She is EXTREMELY submissive and shy with people – it’s just her nature. She responds very well to people with positive energy and she wants a strong, fair, compassionate leader to give her structure, and she would do best with another dog in the house, preferably a male, to give her a canine leader to follow too. She is spayed, housebroken, crate-trained, all shots, hip x-ray clear, about 65 pounds, nice house manners, walks nicely on leash and is quite willing to learn more obedience. She is good with other dogs, interested in the cats, and fine with older or respectful children. This is a dog that will want to be near you, but not all over you. One she warms up and is comfortable, she is quite a clown and oh so sweet! Penny loves to bring her toys over for “inspection” before she settles down to chew – very cute. Penny is an escape artist, so a secure 5-6 ft privacy fence is required. She can jump a 4 foot fence, can climb chain-link, and can remove an invisible fence collar! Penny is a sweet, sweet girl, just waiting for a home where she can feel safe and secure.
