3/9/10 Milton & Hershey are two fluffy Keeshond mixes who look like live stuffed animals. Milton is the bigger, lighter, more active brother and Hershey, the smaller, darker, and more mellow.  Both are very feisty, playful, strong-willed, and vocal, and hold their own against dogs of any size, and both really love people.   Because they both seem like they may be dominant boys, we will be looking for them to be adopted into different homes.  We think they both would do better with one-on-one attention and training with a strong human pack leader.

2/26/10 Update from the foster mom: The pups are growing and seem very healthy. 
Milton is an escape artist.  very friendly, loves to be with you and lets you know if he is not getting enough attention.  He is a big chewer.  Hershey is a little more laid back.  He doesn't bark that much, He likes to be cuddled more than Milton

2/21/10 Milton (light brown) & Hershey (dark brown) are two little fuzzy puppies who have just arrived. They have black on their muzzle and tails, are VERY long-haired and fuzzy, and have small solid bodies, so we think maybe they're a Keeshond mix which would be a medium sized dog when grown. They were dumped at a South Carolina shelter without their mom and since we were getting another dog (Stella) we took them too.  Since  they were just turned in and never saw a vet before, they will need to be monitored and cannot go to a new home for two weeks until they are cleared by our vet to be adopted. We will however be accepingt applications and arrange home visits before then.
