About Eddy (ADOPTED)
11/18/10 Eddy is easy to love and has lots of love to give to everyone. He wants to be with you day and night, following you and doing what you do. At night he'll curl up at the foot of your bed. He loves to play with you and other dogs. His favorite playtime activity is playing with other dogs, but he's not dominant at all. A home with another playful dog is preferred. Eddy struggles with significant separation anxiety. We're continuing to work hard with him in his foster home, but he has never enjoyed his crate, and gets very upset when you leave him behind. Since he loves treats and always aims to please people, we have high expectations for dealing with his stress and anxiety.
A forever home with training experience would make this transition much easier for him. He's such a sweet dog, and he can't wait to meet you!
Eddy has been trained on an invisible fence in his new foster home, because he was easily jumping the 4 ft fence at his previous foster home. Because of this we will require a secure 5 ft fence or inivisible fence system in the yard of his new home.
Eddy really enjoys the company of other dogs as well as people, with either kind of attention he is the happiest. He has taken up chewing on toys and bones to keep himself occupied at other times. He is fun and quirky, which in addition to his sweetness makes him such a great companion.
Attached are a few photos with his springtime bandana :)
Elvis is here and such a sweet guy. Much smaller than he looked from the shelter pictures and extremely thin. We have been feeding Elvis three times a day and although he is very hungry, shows no signs of aggression towards food. He is getting along great with our two lab mixes and very curious about our cats. Elvis does have a very sweet, calm way about him. We have been calling him Eddy, but we are still unsure if that name fits this hound-dog.
